Design and Construction of Army, Winterbourne and Mooraback Bridges

⁠⁠⁠This Tender W21-67 Design and Construction of Army, Winterbourne and Mooraback bridges in the Walcha Council local government area.

The scope of works includes:

• Demolition and removal from site of the all existing timber bridges.
• Design and construction of new replacement reinforced concrete bridges at the three nominated locations;
• Design and construction of bridge approaches for the replacement bridge at the three nominated locations; and
• Provision of all environmental, safety, quality and traffic management as per the requirements of the Contract.

The general requirements for the new replacement bridges are as follows:

Army Bridge (ID:5507) - Niangala Road

• 4.2m wide bridge at a similar vertical and horizontal alignment to the existing;
• Amended sealed road approaches to suit the revised alignment, width and other provisions such as edge barriers and terminals up to 80m in each direction.
• Waterway area to be the same or greater than provided by the existing timber bridge;
• bridge design shall comply with AS5100, SM1600 loading and will be capable of carrying AB Triple freight efficient vehicles with NSW Higher Mass Limits.
• Road design shall comply with Austroads and relevant Transport for NSW (TfNSW) Supplements.

Winterbourne Bridge (ID:6214) – Winterbourne Road

• 4.2m wide bridge at a similar vertical and horizontal alignment to the existing;
• Amended sealed road approaches to suit the revised alignment, width and other provisions such as edge barriers and terminals up to 50m in each direction.
• Waterway area to be the same or greater than provided by the existing timber bridge;
• bridge design shall comply with AS5100, SM1600 loading and will be capable of carrying AB Triple freight efficient vehicles with NSW Higher Mass Limits.
• Road design shall comply with Austroads and relevant TfNSW Supplements.

Mooraback Bridge (ID:5414) – Mooraback Road

• 4.2m wide bridge at a similar vertical and horizontal alignment to the existing;
• Amended sealed road approaches to suit the revised alignment, width and other provisions such as edge barriers and terminals up to 50m in each direction.
• Waterway area to be the same or greater than provided by the existing timber bridge;
• bridge design shall comply with AS5100, SM1600 loading and will be capable of carrying AB Triple freight efficient vehicles with NSW Higher Mass Limits.
