Tender Description
General Scope of Works:
The geophysical survey requirements include approximately 1,000 km of survey lines and the geotechnical survey includes approximately 12 CPT locations and approximately 20 seabed sampling locations. The environmental survey includes approximately 10 water sampling locations. The water depth for the survey activities ranges from between 390 m and 750 m.
This contract package requires the contractor to provide a vessel with surface and subsea positioning capabilities and associated personnel to undertake the surveys off the north-west coast of Western Australia.
The successful contractor shall be responsible for the following:
• Supply of suitable vessel, personnel and equipment.
• Mobilisation and demobilisation of all associated equipment and personnel required to perform the services as specified.
• Performance of the Geophysical Survey, by Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) to acquire high resolution Multi Beam Echo Sounder (MBES) bathymetry, Side Scan Sonar (SSS) imagery and Sub-Bottom Profile (SBP) data.
• Performance of the Geotechnical Survey, including seabed CPTs to a depth below the seabed of approximately 20 m and seabed sampling by piston corer and / or box corer.
• Performance of the Environmental Survey, include water sampling through the water column.
• Presentation of reports and electronic data.
Specific scope requirements will be communicated to suitable Contractors via an Invitation to Tender, survey scopes subject to change.
