Bus Services Crystal Brook Area School

⁠⁠⁠A school bus service is required that will transport students to Crystal Brook Area School. The bus service will be funded by the department (and free for students). The students will be transported in both the morning (am) and afternoon (pm) during school days and will need to be transported in a safe and timely manner in a suitably sized and roadworthy registered bus.

The service is to commence on 30 January 2023 for 1 year, 11 months. There will be an option of 2 x 1-year extensions dependent on the department’s needs based on the School Transport Policy.

The Approved Bus provided must be suitable to be used as a school bus in accordance with the following:

• be able to pass a Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) roadworthy inspection;
• be capable of registration and licensing as a passenger vehicle in South Australia;
• the bus and all equipment used on it must be roadworthy, appropriate to the conditions under which it will be driven, comply with all applicable Acts, Standards and ADRs, and all specifications set out below relevant to the particular vehicle and its safe operation.
