In February 2022, a significant and sustained rain event resulted in high velocity flood waters and inundation that impacted South-East Queensland (SEQ) and the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. The consequential damage across many Local Government Area (LGA) jurisdictions was very disruptive to the form and function of key community assets and community-based activities, including those that were hosted across Ipswich City Council’s (Council’s) portfolio of parks, gardens, open spaces, sports and community facilities and venues.
Under the Disaster Relief Funding Arrangement (DRFA) it was declared that relief measures were available in response to South-East Queensland Rainfall and Flooding events of 22nd February to 5th April 2022.
PURPOSE
Ipswich City Council is seeking to engage a suitably experienced and qualified Contractor to undertake the required restoration works across multiple sites. The scope is spread across Council’s parks & facilities, sporting club and open spaces assets. The information within this request describes further requirements of the works and will form part of the contract.
Ipswich City Council is proposing that the contract be a Lump Sum Contract with Provisional Items. All scope, requirements and specifications noted within this request form part of the Contract.
