Tender Description
The purpose of this Request for Quote (RFQ) is Principle design consultancy to deliver the Civic Precinct Public Domain Plan in Newcastle, NSW.
The City of Newcastle (CN) is requesting proposals for an urban design consultant to provide principal design services for resolution of a detailed design for the Civic Precinct, Newcastle. The scope is to include greening opportunities to recently completed light rail works. Integration of key CN strategic policies and guidelines including the Parking and Cycling Plans will guide the shape, character, and connectivity throughout the precinct, with logical connections to neighbouring public domain plans. Opportunities to support and celebrate the Civic as the City's Art, Culture and Heritage precinct to be incorporated. The Civic Precinct is bound by Union Street in the west, King Street and Civic Park to the south, Darby Street in the East. The northern boundary follows an indirect line between Centenary Road, Workshop Way, and Civic Lane. The site is approximately 15.6ha in area.
