Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Transport for NSW is inviting expressions of interest from Aboriginal artists to create unique artwork for the Moree Train Station. The final concept of the artwork will be developed in consultation with the Moree Aboriginal Community.

 
The artwork will be placed in a prominent location on the northern wall of the Moree Train Station building.
 
The expressions of interest (EOI) will be open until 09/12/2022.

What They Are Looking For
 
We are looking for a locally based Aboriginal artist to consult with the Moree Aboriginal Community to develop a concept for and produce artwork or mural to be placed on the Moree Train Station.
 
Artwork Location
 
The completed artwork will be placed on the wall and ramp as shown in images provided.
 
Eligibility
 
To be eligible for this opportunity, you must:
 
• be an Aboriginal business
• have an ABN
• be local and have a cultural connection
• demonstrate artistic ability
• be endorsed by Moree LALC as Peak Body to be appropriate to undertake work
• have designs and concepts that are the authentic and original work of the artist

Artwork completed   March 2022
 
How to Apply
 
Artists are invited to submit an EOI that addresses the above brief via email: Mike.nolan@transport.nsw.gov.au
 
Applications must include:
 
• examples of recent artwork/projects
• artist biography
• outline of consultation process
• confirmation you can meet our timeline
• contact details of the artist
• details of fees and charges
 
Evaluation and Notification Process
 
A panel with representation from Transport for NSW and the Local Aboriginal Community will assess the expression of interest against the eligibility requirements, examples of previous artwork, fees and charges.
 
TfNSW will notify all respondents in writing of the outcomes of their response to the EOI process.
