Tender Description

Port Augusta City Council invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of design and construct toilet block at Lions Jubilee Park, Port Augusta.

Port Augusta is located on the northern end of the Upper Spencer Gulf, with the Flinders Ranges providing a spectacular backdrop. It is also located on Australia’s crossroads for both rail and road.

Lions Jubilee Park reserve is on the eastern approach to the township of Port Augusta and the toilet no longer presents an acceptable image as a public facility. Council is seeking to replace the existing structure entirely with a modern looking and functional toilet and to develop the immediate surrounds with some park elements that would further enhance the area.

It is anticipated that the functional design will be received within 4 weeks of the award of the works.

Engagement with the stakeholders will be ongoing during the evaluation and functional design phases. Advice on any changes to the functional design to incorporate artistic or public realm furniture should occur within 4 weeks of confirmation/approval of the functional design and include finalised construction drawings

Construction of the toilet will commence as soon as practicable after this time with completion before 30 June 2023.
