Tender Description
Invitation for an Architect Design Team Contribute to Iconic Central Australian building
The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976.
The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people across the southern half of the Northern Territory - an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres. It is governed by 90 elected Aboriginal members and at least half of its 250 employees are Aboriginal.
CLC is inviting submissions from suitably qualified architect design teams to develop the design documentation for CLC's Alice Springs office. Already an award winning building, CLC's main operational office is ready to grow. A new building is required to stand alongside, complement and integrate into the existing design, and to be a statement of visual beauty in its own right. The design and functionality of the building is required to connect with constituents and support CLC to deliver on its varied work throughout the region. The design will also bring with it innovation in the workspaces and meeting areas.
We require an Architectural Design Team with innovation, a team willing to challenge traditional offerings and submit a design that brings with it a soul and warmth that connects with the people who work within the building and those who visit.
