New Zealand Police (NZP) is seeking to appoint a main contractor for the construction of the locker room upgrade at Henderson Station.
The locker rooms at Henderson Station are undersized and no longer fit for purpose. The existing area does not have the capacity to serve the 400 operational staff who work out of Henderson. This project aims to boost morale and productivity by offering staff a functional and hygienic area to prepare for work duties. To deliver the upgraded facility, NZP are approaching market to assign a main contractor to manage these works. The main contractor will be responsible for delivery of demolition, general construction, interior fit-out (excluding locker supply) and building services (instatement of new electrical, hydraulic and mechanical) within an operational and secure station. The main contractor will be expected to cooperate and collaborate with the engaged design team. The main contractor and all subcontractors will need to be vetted to undertake works on NZP sites. Construction detail will be provided to the main contractor during the RFT process by NZP.
