Tender Description
Cairns Regional Council is inviting submissions from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers/contractors for the supply and installation of flowmeters to replace the existing ABB Magmaster flowmeters at various wastewater treatment plants within the Cairns region.
ABB MagMaster flowmeters have been used throughout Council's assets, including the sewerage network, sewerage pump stations, water network and all the treatment plants.
The ABB MagMaster flowmeters have been obsolete for a number of years and are now no longer supported by ABB. CRC's maintenance crew have previously been able to verify and certify these meters using an ABB CheckMaster verification tool. Unfortunately, this has also been removed from the ABB support line, meaning ABB MagMaster flowmeters can no longer be certified
An internal audit of all flowmeters at the Wastewater Treatment Plants was conducted and thirty flowmeters have been flagged as possibly requiring replacement or modification that are ABB branded. CRC should be replacing these flowmeters before they get damaged, this will provide additional transmitter to help restock the critical spares.
The works include but not limited to;
- Procurement of replacement flowmeters.
- Organise shutdown requirements for each listed flowmeter.
- Remove and dispose of existing flowmeter (Transmitters to be stored in CRCs Spares)
- Install replacement flowmeters as per manufactures methodology.
- Commission and verify each flowmeter, confirming correct operation & integration to SCADA system
Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close three (3) days prior to the closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.
Lodgement of Submissions: Completed responses must be lodged by uploading electronically, using the response forms within the tender documentation.
We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours BEFORE the tender closing time.
Closing Time and Date: The tender closes at 4:30 PM, Monday 23rd of January 2023. Submissions must be fully received by this time. Late, verbal or emailed tenders may not be accepted and will be subject to Council's sole discretion.
Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.
Council reserve the right to change the specifications prior to making a decision on the submissions received in response to this invitation.
Council may invite all Respondents to change their submission to take into account any change in the tender specifications.
Tenders are to remain valid for a period of 90 days from the Closing Time.
