Lease of Jonah Bay and Pumphouse Bay Campsites

⁠⁠⁠Arthurs Lake is adjacent to the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWHA) and is an area rich in natural and cultural values.

The campsites at Pumphouse Bay and Jonah Bay are located on the banks of Arthurs Lake, within land owned and managed by Hydro Tasmania.

The campsites have regularly attracted visitors from both within Tasmania and interstate, and have a long history of use.

Hydro Tasmania closed the sites for maintenance activities in May 2022, and now invite Expressions of Interest (EOI) from interested parties to lease and manage the sites from August 2023.

The successful proponent will be offered an opportunity to enter a lease with Hydro Tasmania for an initial term of 3 years, with a further 3 year option term (subject to a successful initial term).
