Aboriginal artists based in the Wollongong City Council area or the Illawarra are invited to express interest in creating an engaging and original public artwork for William Beach Reserve, Brownsville.
This project aims to create designs that celebrate and interpret local Aboriginal culture and stories of William Beach and Mullet Creek as significant sites for the Dharawal people. These designs will create a welcome to the reserve across five panels that integrate and work together to tell a story.
Artists will need to consult with the local Aboriginal community for themes and narrative. Designs will need to be approved by both Council and the local Aboriginal community.

How to apply:
As part of the application, you will be asked to provide:
· Your contact details
· A short description (up to 300 words) or your past and present art practice
· An outline (up to 300 words) of your experience working with the local Aboriginal community and Elders, or your intended approach to consulting with them
· An outline (up to 300 words) of your interest in, or connection to this site, and how you would like to respond to it artistically
· 5 -10 image examples of your work, provided as a link to your website or by uploading a PDF with images combined in one file (max. 10 MB)
· Your artist CV (no more than two pages) as an attachment.
