Tender Description
Queensland Hydro are investigating the feasibility of the proposed Pioneer-Burdekin pumped hydro energy storage project.
Two of the key aspects of this process are
- Investigation and assessment of the expected environmental impacts of the project
- Investigation and assessment of the geotechnical properties of the project site
The investigations require many studies across different disciplines where local knowledge and local presence is critical to the accuracy of these studies.
Expressions of Interests are sought for companies with capabilities in the following areas:
Environmental
- Ecological assessment (terrestrial)
- Ecological assessment (aquatic)
- Water quality assessment
- Groundwater assessment
- Contaminated land assessment
- Soils and land capability assessment
- Waste and spoil management
- Visual impact assessment
- Air, noise, and vibration impact assessments
- Historic heritage
- On-site environmental compliance monitoring
Geotechnical
- Surface intrusive investigations – Excavation and clean-up of test pits and trenches
- Shallow intrusive investigations - boreholes up to 40m
- Deep intrusive investigations - boreholes with a minimum depth of 750m
- Geophysical investigations
- Surveying
- Geomechanical and laboratory testing
Accomodation and other services
- Fully serviced accommodation providers
- Portable accommodation and building suppliers
- Camp management capabilities including cleaning and catering services
