Design, Construct and Install Shade Structures at Parks and Reserves

Campbelltown City is a designated strategic centre and is just 53kms from the Sydney CBD, covering an area of 312 km2.

The City is home to more than 160,000 people with the population expected to reach 270,000 by 2031, and is a significant centre for the Macarthur region, providing a broad range of services and facilities including a major hospital, university, two TAFE colleges, arts centre, public transport, large shopping centres and a growing commercial and industrial sector.

Our location on the F5 provides residents and visitors with easy access to the wider Sydney metropolitan area. Residents enjoy this proximity while valuing the natural environment surrounding the city, including the Georges River, Scenic Hills, extensive bushland and rural lands.

Council's principal service centre is located at the Civic Centre in Queen Street, Campbelltown.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
Council requires a suitably experienced contractor/s to design, construct and install shade structures to a number of parks and reserves sites within the Campbelltown LGA. The sites are split into three packages:

Package A:
* Digger Black Reserve Ingleburn
* Hallinan Park Ingleburn
* Macquarie Fields Park Macquarie Fields

Package B
* Eschol Park Sports Complex Eagle Vale
* Lorraine Cibilic Reserve Woodbine
* Kenny Reserve Bradbury

Package C
* Rizal Park Rosemeadow

Tenderers may tender for one or both packages. Council reserves the right to award the packages to separate Tenderers.

Council may or may not award the Package C to any Tenderer.

It is highly recommended that Tenderers visit each site prior to the Closing Date and undertake their own checks on the site conditions and existing play equipment in order to make reasonable and sufficient allowances for undertaking the design and construction of the shade structures. Council will not accept any claim arising at a later stage of the project for the items or works that could have been reasonably allowed for by undertaking the site visit during the tendering period as a competent contractor.

Contract award: December 2022/January 2023
Works to commence: January 2023
Practical Completion: May 2023
