Tender Description
The project consists of the crack sealing and then resealing of the existing sealed areas on runway 05/23 at Bourke Airport with a single coat bitumen seal with 10mm aggregate, followed by an emulsion spray and overlay, as detailed in the Specification and General Requirements Document, herewith.
The estimated area of the project is 57,180m2 based on a runway length of 1830 metres and generally 30 metres wide, with the runway thresholds being some 35 metres wide.
The tender specifically does not include any works outside of the existing sealed runway area, as marked red in Diagram 1 and excludes taxiways, the parking apron, refuelling areas and the existing sealed access to a hangar at the eastern end of the runway.
Pavement markings will be undertaken by others.
The project is to be delivered during February 2023, with the actual work schedule in that month to be confirmed and finalised with Council.
The resealing and sand overlay works are to be undertaken as per the attached Specification and Project Requirements Document
