Tender Description
Mid Murray Council (Council) is inviting expressions of interest (EOI) from persons for the position of an independent member of Council's Audit and Risk Committee.
The role of the Audit & Risk Committee is to review financial and risk management matters and report to the Council.
Independent member/s should have relevant experience and/or qualifications in an area of local government, finance or business. The Audit Committee meets quarterly in January, April, July and October and the independent members will be paid a sitting fee.
The independent member will be appointed for a two (2) year period with a meeting allowance of $564 (no travel reimbursements are given to the independent members) incremented annually.
Respondents confirm to the requirement of the EOI including providing relevant experience and qualifications; the EOI must be lodged electronically via Council's server at rfq@mid-murray.sa.gov.au before the closing date of 12:00pm (Standard Adelaide Time) on Thursday, 1 December 2022.
On EOI close Council will determine conformance with the EOI requirements based on the Respondents response and the following criteria and associated percentage weightings (not listed in any order of priority):
Assessment Criteria & Weighting:
- South Australian Local Government Experience 25%
- Audit and/or Risk Board Committee Experience 25%
- Financial, Business and Risk Qualifications25%
- Risk Management 25%
