Tender Description
Blackwater is located in the Central Highlands Region. The proposed garden in Blackwater will provide residents and visitors with the experience of being “on country”. Engagement with the Ghungalu people have also arrived at a final design which will include a combination of large water features and planted “rooms” which showcase various aspects of the on country terrain such as wallaby scrub, stands of gumby gumby trees and examples of medicinal trees with metal representations of the key fauna within those rooms. The lookout at the Southern ends of the garden will also include an interpretive area highlighting the origin story of the Ghungalu people.
This tender is stage 1 to complete the earthworks and drainage component for future development of the gardens.
