NPWS is seeking tenders from experienced food and beverage operators for the management of Roto House Café under a lease for a proposed term of 5 years with a 5-year option.
Roto House is located in the heart of the beautiful coastal town of Port Macquarie. Roto House is popular with both the local community and the diverse range of visitors Port Macquarie attracts each year. Next to the Koala Hospital and Macquarie Nature Reserve and minutes from the central business district and beaches, visitors enjoy a wide range of activities in the local area including bushwalking, cycling, swimming, surfing and sightseeing.
Suitably qualified operators are invited to submit proposals that focus on the provision of quality food and beverage offerings and the promotion of the environmental, historic and cultural values of the site. The Preferred Respondent will also be required to undertake some management aspects of the Roto House Historic Site (such as daily opening and closing procedures).
The Preferred Respondent will have experience in operating and managing a café, restaurant or similar hospitality business. NPWS is looking for skills in marketing and an ability to work collaboratively with NPWS in the ongoing conservation and maintenance of the site.
