Tender Description
The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for DES122987 FOGO contamination including PFAS sample and analysis.
To support the implementation of the Queensland Organics Strategy 2022-2032, the Department of Environment and Science (department) has supported domestic Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) kerbside collection trials in Townsville, Rockhampton and Lockyer Valley local government areas. The department is also supporting a FO collection trial from domestic multi-unit dwellings on the Gold Coast, and a commercial FO kerbside collection trial in Townsville. These trials present an opportunity to undertake testing requested by industry.
The findings of this research may guide the allowable inputs into new organics collection services, the anti-contamination messaging delivered as part of organics collection services, the standards applied to products produced through organic material processing, and end market suitability.
The services specifically required by this tender include:
- Developing a Sampling Analytical and Quality Plan
- Undertaking field work and samples collection
- Preparing a factual report on the findings
- Developing guidance material
- Delivering presentations on the study.
