The City of Sydney is seeking an operator to manage two new public cycling facilities at 180 George Street, Sydney and 38 Sussex Street, Sydney. The City of Sydney will enter into a management agreement for each of the two sites with a suitable operator who will be responsible for the running of the facilities and associated programs. The George Street facility is expected to be completed in late-2022 and the Sussex Street facility is ready to occupy.

This expression of interest (EOI) is seeking one operator to operate and manage public cycle facilities at the two separate locations.

The two facilities will operate on a paid membership-based model. The operator of the facilities will need to demonstrate to the City of Sydney how they will operate and manage both sites in a financially self-sustaining model. The operator will be able to generate a revenue stream from the membership-based model and from the provision of bicycle repair and maintenance services onsite.

The operator will also be required to promote and support the City of Sydney's strategic objectives to increase cycling within our city. This EOI requires potential operators to demonstrate how their proposed programming will achieve these objectives and how success will be measured.

The operator will be required to demonstrate an environmentally sustainable operating model and document how their proposal will meet sustainability measures.

The operator will be responsible for the payment of all outgoings associated with the two sites including electricity, water usage, cleaning, facility-operating and running costs and all required insurances.

Submissions to this EOI must be for the two public cycling facilities.
