Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) Training Committee (FTC) seeks a Training Program Director (TPD) for Queensland (QLD) from December 2022.

The FTC oversees the OEM training program, including managing program requirements and dealing with trainee issues.
 
Responsibility to trainees:
  • manage the operation of the training program for QLD Trainees
  • provide information and advice to prospective trainees regarding prerequisites for entry to the training program
  • review and approve training status reports for trainees
  • provide guidance to trainees throughout their training on teaching and learning activities, assessments and other program requirements
  • liaise with the Education Officer regarding inactive trainees and other trainee matters
  • facilitate monthly training meetings via Zoom Videoconferencing (supported by a College Zoom account) for trainees to complete their meeting attendance and presentation requirements
Responsibility to educational supervisors:
  • hold regular meetings with supervisors to review the progress of trainees
  • ensure that supervisors are aware of their roles and provide guidance as necessary
Other responsibilities:
  • participate in FTC meetings and teleconferences
  • facilitate the Faculty's training objectives at a regional level
Members are appointed to the FTC for a 2-year term. 
 
The FTC meets four times per year (3 teleconferences and 1 face-to-face meeting at the College in Sydney).
