This contract involves the installation of a gravity main and a rising main at some areas in Te Awamutu. This contract will be split into two separable portions. The first separable portion is set to commence on January 2023 and is anticipated to finish by June 2023. While the second separable portion will run between December 2023 to January 2024.

We anticipate the tender will be released the end of October or in early November, with award in the first week December.

The scope of works will cover the following:
Separable Portion A: Jan 2023 to June 2023
• 1610m long, DN 355 PE PN 10 PIPE (Rising Main)

• Installation of air valves and scour valves
• Connection to existing manhole at pump station

• 320m long, DN 225 PVC-U SN16 PIPE (Gravity Main)

• Installation of manholes

Separable Portion B: Dec 2023 to Jan 2024
• 160m long, DN 225 PVC-U SN16 PIPE (Gravity Main) Installation of manholes

Additional Notes:
• Pipe invert levels at some sections go to depths at 5.91m from the surface
• Ground water table has been identified to be between from 0.6m to 1.6m on average at some areas
• Pipe installation areas are located in busy roads (Cambridge Rd and Park Rd), parks and reserves (Albert Park and Pekerau Reserve) and rural paddock
• Contractor will require trench shoring and will undertake dewatering measures for most excavations to complete the works
