ORRTG Flood and Rain Gauge Maintenance

⁠⁠⁠The Outback Regional Roads & Transport Group (ORRTG) comprises of the following member Councils: -

• Barcaldine Regional Council;

• Barcoo Shire Council;

• Blackall-Tambo Regional Council;

• Boulia Shire Council;

• Diamantina Shire Council;

• Longreach Regional Council; and

• Winton Shire Council.

Combined, the Councils have an extensive network of Flood Monitoring Infrastructure. The network provides early warning to Council of adverse weather events and enables it to provide early warnings to communities. As with all flood warning assets, these stations must be maintained and calibrated to ensure they operate correctly and accurately when required.

Inspections are to be undertaken in alignment with the Proposed Contract, before and after the Central Western Queensland 'wet season'.
