Evaluation of the Christmas Island and Pulu Keeling National Park Management Plans

⁠⁠⁠The Christmas Island National Park Management Plan and Pulu Keeling National Park Management Plan are due to expire in 2024 and 2025 respectively. Once a management plan expires, the Director must prepare a new plan for the next 10 years. An evaluation of a management plan should be undertaken before it expires, to inform the development of the new plan. The evaluation should affirm successful approaches, highlight issues that need to be addressed and identify opportunities for improvement. To avoid bias, or perceptions of bias, an evaluation should be undertaken by an independent expert. The final evaluation reports will be published online, in advance of public consultation on the development of new management plans.
