Kaitangata Water Supply Intake and Pumping Station
Suitably experiences Contractors are invited to tender for the construction of the Kaitangata Water Supply intake and Pumping Station within the Clutha District.
The contract comprises;
- Construction of a new pump station building including temporary works, excavation, dewatering, foundations, reinforced concrete columns, reinforced concrete wet well, floor slab, blockwork walls, roofing and gutters, doors, steps, windows, ventilation, heating, lighting, waterproofing drainage, architectural finishes and all other associated works.
- Supply, install test and commission the new electrical supply, switchboards, harmonic filter, variable frequency drives, flow meters and other instrumentation, alarms, HMI and SCADA system as described in the electrical specification.
- Installation, testing and commissioning of intake screen including stainless steel Johnson screen (Principal supplied), support piles and connection to wet well. Installation, testing and commissioning of screen backwash system including compressor and controller and air delivery pipework. (Principal supplied). Supply and installation of DN300 SS intake pipe and piled pipe supports between screen and wet well. Installation, testing and commissioning of DN300 knifegate valve, spindle, handwheel and supports. Installation, testing and commissioning of Layne Bowler line pumps. (Principal supplied).
- Supply, installation, bedding, backfilling and testing of 1050 stormwater pipe between table drain and Clutha River adjacent to existing 1050 stormwater pipe including new inlet and outlet head walls, flap gates and stop logs.
- Maintaining the existing Kaitangata potable water supply throughout the works until the connection has been made to the scheme and the new water supply intake and pumping station is commissioned and operational.
