Overview
Assistance is available to SMEs in the north-west of WA that expect to be significantly impacted by the total solar eclipse event on 20 April 2023.
Funding may be used for:
- marketing activities, particularly targeted at interstate and/or international markets
- staff recruitment, training, relocation or mobilisation expenses
- insurances
- registrations and licences
- equipment deployment or activation for the solar eclipse event
- mobilisation of vehicles/vessels/aircraft and associated surveying and mobilisation requirements in preparation of the solar eclipse event
- upgrading supply chain requirements, memberships and accreditation costs
- business IT and online booking/information system costs.
Check if you can apply
To be eligible, businesses must expect to be significantly impacted by the solar eclipse event and located in:
- Exmouth
- Carnarvon
- Coral Bay
- Onslow.
Additionally, applicants must:
- have an Australian business number (ABN)
- be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
- be a for-profit organisation or business
- have been operating for at least 12 months at the time of application
- employ less than 200 people.
Applications are also invited from businesses in the Gascoyne and Pilbara located outside of the abovementioned areas that will be impacted by, and can demonstrate potential opportunities as a result of, the total solar eclipse event.
