Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠undertake the re-roof and associated services upgrades to the Bicton Boy Scouts Hall as a design and construct contract.

The existing roof, roof structure and suspended ceiling are at the end of life and require replacing. The replacement roofing system will require the contractor to provide a suitable design and certification in accordance with Appendix 2: 220915 Boy Scouts re-roof Full Scope.

The existing building has no cooling or heating and part of the associated services upgrade requires the supply and installation of new air conditioning in accordance with Appendix 4: 1795-2209-Scout Hall-AC-Speci-IFT.

The existing electrical system requires upgrading to enable the supply and installation of the new air conditioning system in accordance with Appendix 3: 2223-009 Electrical Brief_A.

The scope of works includes the following:

Design and certification of a new roof, roof structure and suspended ceiling in accordance with Appendix 2: 220915 Boy Scouts re-roof Full Scope.
Removal and disposal of existing roof, roof structure, suspended ceiling and associated services in accordance with Appendix 2: 220915 Boy Scouts re-roof Full Scope
Supply and installation of new roofing system in accordance with Appendix 2: 220915 Boy Scouts re-roof Full Scope.
Supply and installation of new steel framed roof structure supported from existing masonry walls in accordance with Appendix 2: 220915 Boy Scouts re-roof Full Scope.
Supply and installation of new suspended ceiling system in accordance with Appendix 2: 220915 Boy Scouts re-roof Full Scope.
Supply and installation of new lighting, lighting control and emergency lighting system to suit new suspended ceiling in accordance with Appendix 3: 2223-009 Electrical Brief_A.
Supply and installation of new reverse cycle wall split system air conditioners with ground mounted mechanical plant in accordance with Appendix 4: 1795-2209-Scout Hall-AC-Speci-IFT.
Upgrade of the existing electrical system to enable the installation of the new reverse cycle split system air conditioners in accordance with Appendix 3: 2223-009 Electrical Brief_A.
Submission of an applicable building permit application.

The preferred schedule is for the works to be completed over the April school holidays.
