The State Party is undertaking a Registration of Interest (ROI) process to assist with the planning, development and implementation of the Target 120 initiative and wishes to gauge the level of interest of Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) in Western Australia for the provision of a culturally secure and localised services that will contribute to the achievement of positive outcomes for at-risk young people under Target 120.
Target 120 is a 2017 McGowan Government election commitment. Target 120 comprises targeted intervention support for at-risk young people aged between 10 and 14 years, and their families/guardian(s), to reduce rates of juvenile reoffending and aims to address underlying issues that lead to offending, such as substance abuse, lack of housing, domestic violence, and poor mental health. This is achieved through coordinated case management of services, including services delivered across the government and the non-government sector.
