Energy Queensland Limited (EQL) anticipates releasing Expression of Interest (EOI) around November 2022 (to be confirmed) for Manufacture, Supply and Fitment of Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Service Bodies & Accessories. EQL will be seeking responses from the market to identify suitably qualified suppliers able to deliver specified goods/services under a Preferred Contractor Panel (PCP).

Part A: Manufacture and Supply of LCV Service Bodies

Part B: Manufacture, Supply and Fitment of LCV Accessories

Respondents can respond to one or both parts of the EOI, or any part of the EOI within Part A and/or Part B.

Scope:

Part A: Manufacture and Supply of LCV Service Bodies

Part A documents the requirements to suppliers for the manufacture, supply, warranty, and aftersales support of a variety of different light commercial service bodies operated by EQL. These range from tray layouts, to canopy configurations, and integrated service bodies specified for electricity distribution and construction work.

As part of the provision of service bodies to EQL, additional work required may also include accessory manufacture, supply and fitment such as, but not limited to, beacons, ladder racks, vehicle mounted awnings, PVC storage tubes and boxes as detailed in Part B. The Technical Specification along with the specified Fleet Design Standards (FDS) document package relevant for light fleet is intended to be used for providing endorsed, standard designs and components for EQL, within budget and to an acceptable standard of function and finish.

The technical specification and FDS documents shall not replace or override any legislative requirement, Act or Regulation, Australian Standards (AS) or Design Rules (ADR), and Vehicle Manufacturer Guides, nor reduce the service body manufacturer/supplier’s responsibilities for Safe Design. Specifically, the Vehicle Body Manufacturer must ensure the completed unit complies with the requirements of the Work Health and Safety ACT/Regulation (Qld) and the Professional Engineers Act QLD.

Part B – Manufacture, Supply and Fitment of Light Commercial Vehicle Accessories

Part B documents the requirements to suppliers for the manufacture and/ or supply, fitment, after sales support and warranty for a variety of different light commercial vehicle accessories required by EQL.

The technical specification and FDS documents shall not replace or override any legislative requirement, Act or Regulation, Australian Standards (AS) or Design Rules (ADR), and Vehicle Manufacturer Guides nor reduce the Manufacturer/ Supplier’s responsibilities for Safe Design and fitment. Specifically, the accessory Manufacturer or Supplier must ensure that accessories comply with the requirements of the Work Health and Safety ACT/ Regulation (Qld) and the Professional Engineers Act QLD.
