Hammond Street - Upgrade Stormwater Pits & Pipes

⁠⁠⁠The Corporation of the City of Unley ABN 63 714 797 082 (The Council) seeks an experienced Contractor to undertake construction works to upgrade the existing stormwater pits and pipes, for the sections of the Council’s stormwater network from Hammond Street to William Street, Clarence Park.

Council’s Stormwater pits on Hammond Street are drained via an existing 300mm diameter concrete stormwater pipe flowing to William Street, within an easement 1.524m (5 feet), through seven private properties.

The scope of the works are shown on the attached drawings (Appendix A) and include, but are not limited to:
1. All traffic and pedestrian management
2. Liaison with affected residents to obtain access and undertake the works
3. Locate all existing services onsite, including confirming depths and possible conflicts with design to confirm any service relocations as necessary
4. Undertake a Geotechnical Investigation to confirm ground conditions are suitable for trenchless construction methods or open trenching is required.
5. Undertake an Arborists Report to assess and minimise the impact on all existing vegetation and trees
6. Undertake Dilapidation Surveys of Structures prior to and post construction
7. Demolish/excavate/remove existing redundant stormwater pipes and pits as necessary
8. Construction of new stormwater pipes, pits and junctions, including benching, backfilling, compaction and reinstatement as required.
9. Reinstate as required including kerb, footpath paving, and road on Hammond Street and William Street
10. Tidy up and make good site, including reinstatement of any fences, structures, tanks, sheds, vegetation, planting or trees etc. as required
11. Provide As Constructed information to Council
Two design Options have been produced for this project; however, Council is open to alternative design recommendations that can achieve better value and less resident disruptions while still achieving the stormwater flow requirements.
