Tender Description

The Adelaide 500 is a four-day event staged by the SA Motor Sport on Adelaide’s world-renowned street circuit and surrounding parklands in the heart of the CBD. The event is South Australia’s largest annual ticketed sporting event providing a vibrant mix of motorsport and other off-track attractions appealing to a diverse audience.

Adelaide 500 Event requires the hire, installation, commissioning, maintenance of TVs within corporate hospitality, administrational, and other facilities across the event site including eventual removal post-event.

TVs are required to both enhance the patron experience at the event, particularly in hospitality suites, but are also an integral part of the administration/operation of the motorsport event. TVs are used substantially in motorsport administration buildings, where feed of the action of the track is provided. This helps to ensure the program of motorsport races is maintained, but also helps to depict any incidences on the track that upcoming drivers can witness and adapt to if required. The track feed also has the ability to display safety messages (ie they may state where free sunscreen, or water coolers are, in the case of hot weather). Hence TVs are an integral part of the safe operation and administration of the Event.

Without access to TVs and a view of the race, the Operations and Race Control awareness of the event would be impaired. The TVs also provide the Emergency Control Centre (ECC) with access to CCTV footage of the race.

The supply of the TV Hire services includes delivery to site, installation, certification, maintenance, and removal post-event for the 2022 through 2024 events.

  • Ensure probity, accountability, and transparency in procurement operations

This procurement aligns with the strategic objective to drive economic growth, jobs, investment and economic opportunities for South Australia, particularly in relation to the events and live music industry.
