DESTINATION NSW
Destination NSW is the lead agency, champion and voice for the visitor economy within the NSW Government.
Spearheading a whole-of-government approach to visitor economy growth, Destination NSW is responsible for leading the delivery of the NSW Visitor Economy Strategy 2030 in partnership with government and industry.Destination NSW influences and shapes the visitor economy through strategic research, policy and thought leadership, stakeholder engagement and consultation, commercial partnerships and investment in visitor experiences, business support, marketing and events.
In July 2018, the NSW Government announced a plan to secure 10 World Cup sporting events over the ensuing 10 years. Destination NSW is the lead Government agency in the bid to secure the World Cup events. Securing FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 tournament matches for Sydney supports and enhances Destination NSW’s vision to position Sydney as the events capital of the Asia Pacific.
FIFA FAN FESTIVAL
FIFA has successfully established the FIFA Fan Festival as an essential asset and an official event within FIFA World Cups. It is a powerful content, communication and promotional platform for FIFA and its Commercial Affiliates and Media Rights Licensees, as well as for the Host Cities and the Host Countries.
Destination NSW is seeking submissions and itemed quotation from suitably qualified service providers for the provision of an ‘Event Activation Agency for Sydney FIFA Fan Festival 2023'.
