Purchase and Removal of Barge 'C980-09105'

⁠⁠⁠The Item for purchase and removal is a Barge, registration ‘C980’ / ‘09105’.

The Barge ‘C980’ / ‘09105’ is currently stored on a hard stand at the Department of Transport (DoT)

Boating Facility at Jervoise Bay Cove, Woodman Point Recreation Reserve, Munster, Western Australia.

Barge ‘C980’ / ‘09105’ was sunk in the Peel Inlet and, pursuant to section 71 of the Western

Australian Marine Act 1982 (WAMA), was removed and transported to Woodman Point by salvage contractors engaged by DoT.

The Item is being sold pursuant to section 71(3) of the WAMA. DoT is seeking offers for the purchase and removal of this barge as described below.

The Barge was previously surveyed as a commercial works barge used for jetty piling and construction works and is equipped with two front spuds. The Barge is considered to be unseaworthy and in poor condition, in its current state. The hydraulic Power Pack has been disconnected from the Barge.
