NOTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION OF ABORIGINAL INTERESTS
Charter Hall Development Services Pty Limited, of 1 Martin Place, Sydney NSW 2000, propose the preparation of an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment Report and will undertake excavation as part of the redevelopment of Lot 3, Westmead, located within the Parramatta Local Government area.
The proposal is to be assessed as a State Significant Development (SSD) under Part 4 Division 4.7 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. This requires Aboriginal community consultation to be undertaken in accordance with the Aboriginal cultural heritage consultation requirements for proponents 2010.
Registrations of interest are sought from Aboriginal people who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of any potential Aboriginal objects at this location. This will assist in the assessment of the proposal by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.
Please note that the details of Aboriginal people or organisations who register an interest will be forwarded to Heritage NSW and the Deerubbin Local Aboriginal Land Council (DLALC). If you do not want your details forwarded to the DLALC, please specify in your letter when registering an interest that you do not want your details forwarded to the DLALC.
