Provision of Food Vendor Services

⁠⁠⁠Cairns Regional Council is inviting submissions from suitably qualified and experienced Suppliers for the Provision of Food Vendor Services. It is desirable that food vendor services offer the following:

• Quality and freshness of food
• Healthy food options
• Professional presentation (food, stall, vehicle)
• Hygiene and cleanliness
• Hand-made food products and locally sourced where possible
• Vendors that can add to the diversity of food options available
• Food that can be prepared quickly

Vendors that do not use single plastic use items and opt to use sustainable, reusable or compostable packaging alternatives.

Food vendor services include, but not limited to:

• Mobile food vans
• Food vending services
• Temporary and market food stalls
• Fixed premises
• Off-site catering
• Home-based food businesses

Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close five days prior to the closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.

Lodgement of Submissions: Completed responses must be lodged by uploading the submission to the tendering portal, using the response forms within the tender documentation.

We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours BEFORE the tender closing time.

Late, verbal or emailed tenders may not be accepted and will be subject to Council's sole discretion.

Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.

Council reserves the right to change the specifications prior to making a decision on the submissions received in response to this invitation.

Council may invite all Respondents to change their submission to take into account any change in the tender specifications.

Tenders are to remain valid for a period of 120 days from the Closing Time.
