Tender Description
The Cradle Coast Waste Management Group (CCWMG) was formed in 2007 and represents seven north waste Tasmanian municipal areas. It is made up by a representative from each council and includes practitioners skilled in engineering, environmental health, waste management, corporate governance and general management. The CCWMG receives project management expertise, communications and administration assistance and financial support from Dulverton Regional Waste Management Authority (DWM), trading as Cradle Coast Waste Services (CCWS).
The CCWMG currently have a contract in place for managing green waste with arrangements differing according to the site. At some locations the green waste is mulched and managed on-site; at other locations the green waste is mulched and transported to the Dulverton Organics Recycling Facility (DORF) located at Dawsons Siding Road, Dulverton, for further processing.
Green waste is comprised of grass clippings, tree cuttings, plants and leaves deposited at Waste Transfer Stations (WTS) and Resource Recovery Centres (RRC) throughout the Cradle Coast region.
Existing contractual arrangements for management of green waste expired on 30th June 2022 and DWM seeks to establish new arrangements for the next five years.
