Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Will be delivered as part of the Navy Capability Infrastructure Sub-program (NCIS), which is delivering multiple Navy infrastructure and facilities projects across Australia to support several capability acquisition projects in a coordinated ‘program of works’.

 
The capability acquisition projects related to the NCIS-6B Project include:
 
i. SEA1180 Phase 1 Arafura Class Offshore Patrol Vessel (ACOPV) which will deliver 12 Arafura Class Offshore Patrol Vessel (ACOPV) ships and their support systems, homeported at HMAS Stirling (Stirling) in Western Australia, HMAS Coonawarra (Coonawarra) in Darwin and HMAS Cairns (Cairns).
 
The NCIS-6B works comprise of the following scope under the MCC-1 2021:
 
i. Demolition of the Synchro lift facility and adjacent ship transfer yard to allow for future construction on the site associated with the project.
 
ii. Landside Works – Demolition, Design and Construction of infrastructure to support ACOPVs and other Defence vessels to be accommodated at HMAS Coonawarra.
 
iii. Maritime Works – Design and construction of a new wharf to increase berthing capability at HMAS Coonawarra.

Disclaimer and Confidentiality Agreement
 
The Disclaimer and Confidentiality Agreement will be issued by the Tender Administrator via email.
 
On receipt of the Disclaimer and Confidentiality Agreement, Tenderers are required to complete, duly execute and return the Disclaimer and Confidentiality Agreement by email to the Tender Administrator.
 
Confidential Information

Sensitive or Classified Information

Industry Briefing
 
An industry briefing will be conducted on 06 Sep 2022 at 0800 (ACST).

Building Code 2016
 
By lodging a Tender, the Tenderer will become subject to the Interim Building Code 2016.

WHS Accreditation Scheme
 
The WHS Accreditation Scheme pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016 (Cth) applies. Further information regarding the WHS Accreditation Scheme is provided in the Tender Documents.
 
Indigenous Procurement Policy
 
The Australian Government's new Indigenous Procurement Policy took effect on 1 July 2015. Further information regarding the Indigenous Procurement Policy is provided in the Tender Documents.
 
PWC Act
 
The Works described in the Tender Documents are a "public work" and therefore subject to section 18 of the Public Works Committee Act 1969 (Cth).
