Tender Description
Through this Expression of Interest, the Forest Products Commission (FPC) will gather information on potential value-adding opportunities for Sawlogs and Specialty Timbers available under the next Forest Management Plan - FMP24-33. The FPC is seeking responses that enable an understanding of the following:
- Opportunities for the local manufacture of timber products that maximise socio-economic opportunities within Western Australia;
- Opportunities for collaboration between manufacturers of timber products, or between timber manufacturers and log processors (e.g. sawmills);
- The form of timber products sought by manufacturers (e.g. logs, timber slabs, or as dimensioned timber from a sawmill); and
- Preferred method for procuring logs or timber from the FPC (e.g. auction, long term Contract of Sale)
