King's High School is a state single-sex boys' secondary school located in Bayview Road, South Dunedin.

Required solution (method and approach).

The Contract Works required are (refer to attached drawings for full details):

• Convert existing Change Rooms 1 & 2 (East) to a new Recovery Room and refurbished Toilets with new ventilation, insulation and plumbing and drainage. The Recovery Room floor is to be strengthened, and the Toilet floor is to be reshaped with a new sluice drain. Infill existing external windows. Note: This section of work is to be priced separately. Dependent upon the tender price, it may need to be delayed as a second stage when further Ministry of Education funding is made available to the school (refer to ‘Schedule of Prices’ spreadsheet ‘Trade Summary Toilets’). This will be discussed with the successful contractor
• Convert the existing Squash Court into an Analysis Room with a new external opening complete with a ramp / stair entry and grid ceiling with mechanical ventilation and ceiling mounted heat pump.
• Convert the existing Office and Store off the Small Gymnasium into a Cardio area with new steel portal frames opening one side to the Small Gymnasium.
