Queenscliff Headland Ramp Design and Construct

SERVICE REQUIRED:
Northern Beaches Council (Council) invites tenders for the carrying out and completion of major works for Queenscliff Headland Ramp Design and Construct.
The works include; the design and construction of a 2.0m wide access ramp to provide improved pedestrian access between Bridge Road and Greycliffe Street Queenscliff, including upgrading of the crossing point in Greycliffe Street.
The Contractor shall be responsible for the design and construction of all works required for the proposed access ramp in accordance with the tender drawings, geotechnical investigation this document, relevant legislation and Australian Standards. The scope of works includes but is not necessarily limited to the following:
- Design and construction of 2.0m wide access ramp
- Construction of new kerb, drainage works, traffic island and handrails
- Locating and protection of services
- Excavation, clearing, demolition and disposal of all vegetation, sandstone bedrock, blockwork and other as necessary to achieve widths, levels and grades for ramp construction.
- Design and construction of retaining structures, underpinning, rock anchors and slope stabilisation.
- Establish sediment and erosion control within the site, prior to demolition and excavation for access ramp construction.
- Provision of all safety systems and equipment for access, communication, emergency evacuation, flow isolation and coordination necessary to facilitate work performed during all stages of the construction work.
- Establishment of Traffic Control and Pedestrian Management.
- Liaison and, coordination with Northern Beaches Council, all other relevant authorities/stakeholders, and the adjoining property owners to arrange approvals, access, and manage traffic and pedestrian movements as necessary to complete the works as required under the Contract.
- Protection of works from inclement weather.
- Site remediation and restoration to pre-existing conditions.
- Any additional works under the contract as described in the drawings, specification and ancillary documents.

The works are to be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements in this document. To have Tenders considered, contractors will need to ensure that all required information requested in the Request for Tender document is provided.

SITE BRIEFING:
A Site briefing will be held on Thursday 18th August 2022 at the intersection of Bridge Road and Greycliffe Street, Queenscliff at 11.00am.
