Fiji School Recovery Program EOI - Supply of Construction Materials

Tropical Cyclone Yasa impacted Fiji in December 2020 and caused widespread damage to the northern island of Vanua Levu. The Government of Australia (GoA), represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), has provided the Government of Fiji (GoF), represented by the Ministry of Economy (MoE), with emergency funding to support cyclone recovery and reconstruction for the Schools Recovery Program (the Program). The Program will involve the reconstruction of nine schools in Vanua Levu including the construction of classrooms, dormitories, staff accommodation, libraries, kindergartens, toilets and sewerage systems, water supply and solar power systems and associated infrastructure, in coordination with the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ministry of Heritage and Arts (MEHA). The reconstruction of the nine schools follows good practice standards specific to gender equality, accessibility, safety and environmental sustainability. The Facility have identified global supply chain disruption as a key project risk and are taking active steps to address supply chain-related risks at the earliest opportunity.
