Tender Description

Background
Council is seeking to engage a contractor under a Lump Sum contract for the design and construction of two (2) municipal water supply bores at the Dalby Waste Transfer Facility (WTF) as separable portions.

There is Two (2) separable portions in the contract for a Precipice Bore (17) and a Hutton Bore (18) for the designs and constructions into the Great Artesian Basin and the Hutton Sandstone Formation to an approximate depth of 1000 meters and 650 metres respectively.
The first separable portion of the contract is the Precipice Bore (17) which is to be located adjacent to the Waste Transfer Facility (WTF) approximately 6.8km west of the town of Dalby. The new bore is intended to deliver an additional 16 l/s of raw water to a future reverse osmosis plant at the same site to process and treat water to a potable standard.

The further separable portions of the contact are for 1 further bore into the Hutton Sandstone. This Hutton Bore (18) will be located at the WTF sited close to the Precipice Bore (17). This bore is intended to deliver an additional 10 l/s of raw water.
This contract is to include all works associated with the investigation, design and specifying, site preparation, drilling, casing and development of the bore to functional completion including all legislative requirements and flow rate testing. This contract excludes purchase of a bore pump, associated pipework and electrical requirements.
