Adelaide 500 - Steel Structures Fabrication

⁠⁠⁠The Adelaide 500 is a four-day event staged by SA Motor Sport, (SAMS), a division of the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC), on Adelaide’s world-renowned street circuit and surrounding parklands in the heart of the CBD. The event is South Australia’s largest annual ticketed sporting event providing a vibrant mix of motorsport and other off-track attractions appealing to a diverse audience.

The preferred supplier is required to provide manufacturing services for the Adelaide 500 Steel Structures.

The purpose of this procurement is to engage a contractor to fabricate the following steel structures for the Adelaide 500 including five (5) super screen support structures, one (1) starters platform and one (1) over-track starters light gantry. In order to alleviate risk associated with interfacing separate suppliers for fabrication and installation, this procurement includes two additional options for:

• First year delivery and installation of the new steel structures; or
• Three (3) year term including transport, installation, certification, removal and storage of the Steel Structures

Submission Requirements:

• Prepare and submit a detailed Works Program which outlines:

1. Material order dates, lead times & delivery dates
2. Fabrication schedule – commencement & completion dates for each Super Screen Support Structure, Starters Platform and Gantry
3. Client Inspection dates
4. Transport schedule of structures to site (Victoria Park, Adelaide, SA)

• Submit proposed Quality Control & Quality Assurance processes which provides assurance that Steel Structures will be fabricated in accordance with the specification
• Relevant WHS system & Processes
• Copies of relevant Insurance Policies – Public Liability ($20m+) and Professional Indemnity ($10m+)
• Completion of Pricing Schedule

Part B contains a detailed specification and requirements section noting the full requirements of the Event.

The DPC seek to engage a contractor to execute the works for the Adelaide 500 Event that:

• Fulfils the Event requirements;
• Undertakes work in accordance with Australian Standards;
• Provides high quality services ensuring a safe event; and
• Provides value for money expenditure;

While undertaking this procurement, the DPC aim to:

• Provide ethical and fair treatment for all tender participants; and
• Ensure probity, accountability, and transparency in procurement operations
