Tender Description
Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is seeking industry feedback as part of an early market engagement process for the M5 Motorway Westbound Traffic Upgrade project, to help inform the development of the procurement strategy.
The M5 Motorway Westbound Traffic Upgrade project aims to reduce congestion and increase safety on the M5 Motorway by eliminating the issue of weaving traffic westbound between Moorebank Avenue, Moorebank and the Hume Highway, Casula. The M5 is currently operating at capacity westbound in peak periods and traffic generated by development in Western Sydney combined with the Moorebank Logistics Park will see traffic congestion worsen in future years.
TfNSW’s proposal involves a new two-lane westbound M5 Motorway exit for Hume Highway traffic, located about 1.5 kilometres east of the existing Hume Highway exit, to improve connectivity between the M5 Motorway and the Hume Highway at Casula. The proposal would also include capacity upgrades to the M5 Motorway intersection with Moorebank Avenue, Moorebank.
TfNSW is seeking to engage with our industry partners to help inform the development of the procurement strategy for this project.
An industry briefing will be held on Wednesday 10 August at 9am. A data room will open following the briefing and industry will have until Friday 19 August at 5pm to submit feedback.
