Marandoo Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) Bay 3 Rectification project

⁠⁠⁠Scope of Works:

Rectification of the Bay 3 concrete slab including:

1. Survey of the Site during the construction phase of the Works must be performed by the Contractor in accordance with this Scope of Work and the Standard Documents.

2. Demolition of the indoor slab and rails (to a full depth of 600mm)

3. Demolition of the apron slab and rails.

4. The removal off Site of all demolished material.

5. The Contractor must perform all demolition in accordance with the Standards & Specifications.

1. Replacement of the indoor slab, drainage channel, existing apron slab and new apron slab extension.

a. Level and compact foundation after demolition works as detailed within SS-C101 Earthworks.

b. Supply and install new rails as detailed within Company supplied drawings, Rio Tinto and Australian Standards

c. Provide all new reinforcement and cast in items as detailed within Company supplied Drawings

d. Supply and cast new concrete (including any allowance for wastage) as detailed within Company supplied Drawings, Rio Tinto Concrete Specification SS-C108 and Australian Standards.

2. The Contractor shall make adequate provision for all formwork, props, reinforcing steel, cast-ins, tie-wire, nails, bolts, nuts, shims, washers, chamfer, curing oil, and all other materials necessary for the Completion of the Works.

3. The Contractor shall supply all concrete and reinforcement steel as detailed within the Company suppled drawings and to current Rio Tinto, Australian Standards & specifications.

4. The Contractor shall make adequate provision for all allowances for waste material when calculating volumes.

5. The Contractor shall remove the existing Bay 3 concrete as detailed within Company supplied drawings. Cut back the existing ground slab.

6. The Contractor is to make all provisions for preparing the ground to accommodate the new Bay 3 slab.

7. Existing floor demarcation and protective coating to be reinstated as per Buildings – Protective and Decorative Coatings SS-P111.

8. The contractor shall be responsibility for all temporary site works

9. Onsite quality testing shall be the responsibility of the contractor and is to be performed by a NATA certified laboratory

The Contractor will be undertaking works inside an operating Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) workshop environment. The Contractor must have cognisance and awareness of the associated risks and any schedule impacts.
