The local government members of RAPADWSA continually monitor and evaluate the condition of their sewer infrastructure assets as part of their commitment to service delivery. The sewer infrastructure consists of main line sewers, sewer maintenance structures including sewer maintenance holes (SMH), house branch connections, sewer rising mains and sewer pump stations. Local Government members of RAPAWSA have identified the rehabilitation of their aging sewer infrastructure as a priority.

The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate defects in the existing sewer infrastructure including but not limited to, breakages, root infestation, infiltration, conditions that cause blockages and/or spill, structural damage and corrosion.
