Tender Description
The purpose of the proposed remediation works is to reduce the off-site risk of airborne dust and contaminated runoff generated from the continued oxidation of sulfidic mineral waste at Lake George Mine. The proposed remediation works are required to prevent serious environmental and human health risks to people accessing the site, to residents on-site and in the town of Captains Flat.
This strategy centres around provision of project site infrastructure necessary to assist in the rehabilitation of the Lake George Legacy Mine Site
The operational phase of the project is expected to run for approximately eighteen (18) months, weather permitting.
The community will benefit via the provision of a cleaner environment & insurance companies will benefit via mitigated risk.
