Preparation of Housing Strategies

⁠⁠⁠Campbelltown City is a designated strategic centre and is just 53kms from the Sydney CBD, covering an area of 312 km2.

The City is home to more than 160,000 people with the population expected to reach 270,000 by 2031, and is a significant centre for the Macarthur region, providing a broad range of services and facilities including a major hospital, university, two TAFE colleges, arts centre, public transport, large shopping centres and a growing commercial and industrial sector.
Our location on the F5 provides residents and visitors with easy access to the wider Sydney metropolitan area. Residents enjoy this proximity while valuing the natural environment surrounding the city, including the Georges River, Scenic Hills, extensive bushland and rural lands.
Council's principal service centre is located at the Civic Centre in Queen Street, Campbelltown.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
Council is seeking an appropriately experienced consultant to review, update and create a number of housing strategies for Council.
This will include the review and update of the Campbelltown Local Housing Strategy (LHS), the preparation of a new affordable housing strategy and affordable rental housing contributions scheme, and the preparation of evidence based recommendations to inform appropriate amendments to CLEP 2015 and the Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2015 (SCDCP 2015).

The Consultant will be required to attend meetings as well as nominated briefings. The Consultant will be responsible for the preparation and presentations to Council and relevant stakeholders.
