Yeoman Path to Park Rd Esplanade Reserve - Shared Path Upgrade 2022

⁠⁠⁠What we need

Western Bay of Plenty District Council is upgrading the Katikati Uretara Stream riverside grass path between the “Yeoman Bridge” through to the end of the esplanade reserve at Park Road, with a concrete path. This is a distance of approximately 1.25km, entirely on public land.

The new concrete path will be 2.5m wide, oxide coloured (colour spec to be confirmed) with proprietary expansion and construction joints, and steel reinforced only at service vehicle crossings.

The project is part of a series of improvements to the trail network in Katikati, included in the Katikati-Waihī Beach Reserve Management Plan (approved in 2018) and Council’s Walking and Cycling Action Plan.

What’s important to us?

We are particularly interested in your experience with the construction of quality concrete paths, your ability to manage public relationships (with neighbouring property owners), your programming to reduce disruptions to pathway users, health & safety and how you plan to manage any delays.
