Milton to Waihola Pipeline

⁠⁠⁠The Clutha District Council (CDC) is responsible for the Milton Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and the supply of potable water to the growing Waihola township.

The new pipeline starts at the Milton WTP and finishes at the Waihola Reservoir. It is approximately 16.2km long. The pipeline route is along State Highway 1 and follows existing infrastructure at the Waihola end. South of Limeworks Road the proposed pipe route follows North Branch Road and State Highway 1, apart from at the intersection of the two where it cuts the corner to avoid some residential land. The Milton WTP is located at the intersection of Water Tower Road and North Branch Road to the west of Tokomairaro River.

The existing Waihola Reservoir is located at Sheerness Street. New pumps will be installed at the Milton WTP and there will be a new pump station and reservoir near the corner of Limeworks Road and State Highway 1. These will be part of a separate Contract and are not part of this Contract.
